Ashleigh K is a native angeleno, born and raised in Southern California. She spent her youth in Downtown Santa Monica, an area densely populated with small businesses. Surrounded by such a creative and entrepreneurial community, she started her first business, a floral pop up shop, at the age of 9. She approached Fleurs Du Jour, a florist on Main Street and negotiated with the owner to buy roses weekly at a wholesale price, then recruited a team of neighborhood kids to join her.
At a young age she understood the value of money and how intrinsic value can develop through marketing. “Looking back, it's easy to see that we had a great product, but most importantly, a unique brand: the fact that we were a group of 'kids', in a tourist-centric location, dressed uniformly, authentic and passionate about what we were doing made our products more valuable". Ashleigh K and the neighborhood kids sold roses for three years, and raised prices from $3 to $5 per rose in the process.
Continually inspired by such concept and spirit, today Ashleigh K works as an independent creative director - producing content and managing brands.
